Eyewitnesses say they were siblings, pulled out of their home by the military, along with their father and later shot dead, while others maintain that they were suspected separatists or have been acting as spies for secessionist forces also known as Ambazonia.
Sources say the incident occurred this Saturday, June 22 when soldiers stormed that neighbourhood and shot both father and two sons.
Continuous battles between armed separatists and government forces have led to the death of over 1800 persons. Civilians are most affected by gun exchanges, since whenever separatists attack, government forces turn to blame the population for concealing their hideouts. Over 100 villages have been burnt down by security forces, after one of theirs was killed in same neighbourhood.
Last month, two air force soldiers were killed by armed separatists around Alachu, Mankon which led to a military raid in the area, as his colleagues burnt down some 100 houses in that locality, destroying animals and property.
Although government has promised to assist these affected groups of persons, the people of Alachu are yet to have their share.
